Full-time Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Design Support Engineer

Primary Purpose of Job:

  • On-site design support during the construction phase of a WTP upgrade project for MWH design team to ensure that all works are completed in accordance with the design team.

Key Accountabilities:
————————————————————————

  • Design coordination and liaison between lead consultant (MWH), local consultants and contractor

  • Facilitate consultation and co-ordination with local consultants on all relevant works
  • Documentation, monitoring and reporting on progress of work as per contractor’s program approved by the Client
  • Checking of drawings for discrepancies and to ensure works are carried out in accordance with the contract drawings
  • Check on quality of materials delivered to site and report to lead consultant (MWH) of any discrepancies

Person Specification:
————————————————————————

  • Civil or relevant professional degree with 3-5 years of experience in WTP design support

  • Consideration shall also be given to a skilled specialist without a graduate degree with site experience.
  • Proven capabilities in client liaison
  • Commitment to the company values
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Willingness to be stationed in East Malaysia for approx 20 months
  • Willingness to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work with and encourage a team approach
  • Working experience in Malaysia or with knowledge of their local codes and practices shall be an added advantage
