Insulation / Fireproofing Inspector

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Checks Construction Execution Plan and Work Method Statements prepared by Insulation Subcontractor to ensure adherence to project requirements and ensure smooth construction progress.
2. Supervises field construction activities for insulation, fireproofing and refractory works performed by Insulation Subcontractor and manage activities among company Insulation Supervisors and Inspectors.
3. Ensures construction scheduling, adequate and timely supply of materials and construction equipment, and efficient performance by Insulation Subcontractor.
4. Establishes detailed insulation construction plans and 3- Months Schedule with approval of the Superintendent.
5. Inspects completion of Insulation, Fireproofing and Refractory at site.
6. Checks and controls insulation construction to ensure that safety, quality and workmanship conform to the specifications, local regulations and Client requirements.
7. Monitors Subcontractor’s Progress and Schedule and Recovery Plan, when necessary.
8. Checks adequate stock of Insulation, Fireproofing and Refractory materials supplied by Insulation Subcontractor.
9. Coordinates with Client’s counterpart about daily work in the area under his responsibility.
10. Works with company Subcontract Administrator and Subcontractor’s representatives to satisfy manpower requirements for each craft, plans, and schedules, and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
11. Interprets Company’s requirements whether they are Change in the Work or not in accordance with Contract and Project Specification. Arranges interpretation and clarification for Contract and Project Specification, when necessary.
12. Reviews and evaluates Task Statements, Risk Assessment and Job Safety Analysis prepared by Subcontractor in compliance with the Project HSE requirements prior to the commencement of work.
13. Maintains close coordination with HSE Department and Client’s representative on HSE.
14. Initiates Monthly and Weekly Meeting with Subcontractors.
15. Monitors daily Insulation Coordination Meeting and/or Tool Box Meeting conducted by Insulation Subcontractor.
16. Participates in Meetings initiated by Construction Director, Area Construction Managers, Superintendent, HSE managers, etc.
17. Evaluates Work Volume Variation and Change in the Works submitted by Insulation Subcontractor so far as actual verification of facts and data concerned and coordinates with Subcontract Administrator.
18. Manages waste materials disposal conducted by Insulation Subcontractor in accordance with Project Requirements and Local Regulation.
19. Participates in weekly and monthly mass housekeeping and manages Supervisors and Insulation Subcontractor for participation in the housekeeping activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum 5 years experience on major construction projects.
· Certificate in Safety, Health and Environment management course from DNV or other recognised source.
