Graphic Designer (Web & 2D Art)

MORF Interactive Communications (Malaysia) has a job opening for a Graphic Designer (Web and 2D Art) for online games and virtual worlds development.
With an international presence, MORF is a virtual worlds and casual online games company. Our innovative organization is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic & progressive thinking individual to join our team as an in-house web/graphic designer. You will be integral in the launch of several new products, revitalize the current corporate image of the company’s already operational & external projects. This will include corporate branding, brochures & graphic design identity for all websites and online games.
If you possess a varied skill set suited to the entire branding of a product & can demonstrate this through examples of your experience, we want to speak to you.
Responsibilities:
• Designing websites and applications (from concept through to implementation, and ongoing support and changes)
• Branding and print/pre-press design
• HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills needed in execution
• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout, colour theory, typography and dimension
• Translate marketing strategy into effective design with some art direction
• Collaborate with copywriters, designers, account managers, and marketing specialists (some of which will be overseas)
• Optimize images for the web
Skills Required:
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Advanced Adobe and CSS layout skills
• A portfolio of previous projects to demonstrate your capability
• Excellent communication
• Awesome design skills – blow our minds with your portfolio
• Sound understanding of web marketing principals
• Creative problem solver
• Team Player
• Energy & vitality
• HTML, XHTML and CSS
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Dreamweaver
Desirable skills/experience
• SEO
• Flash animation experience
• GUI Design
The successful candidate must be a self-starter, have a conceptual and creative mindset, and practical approaches to problem solving. Multiple language skills other than English, Malay, Chinese or Indian are highly desirable but not essential.
